2. Refund amounts

2.1 Students who withdraw their participation before the start of the program will be refunded 80% of the total tuition fees.
2.2 Students who revoke their participation after the start of the program cannot be refunded any tuition fees.
2.3 Students who arrive late to their program due to a delay in receiving their visa cannot receive a refund for the weeks missed.
2.4 If students have not received their visa or APS has rejected the student's application and their course has not yet started, a full refund will be issued minus a 10% processing fee of the total tuition amount. The visa or APS rejection must be submitted in writing.
2.5 If students have not received their visa or the APS has rejected the student's application, their course has already started, and the student has had on-site or virtual access to the course, a tuition refund will be issued on a pro rata temporis basis. This means that a refund is available for the portion of the course that is still in the future and has not yet taken place, less an administrative fee of 10% of the total tuition. The refusal of the visa or APS must be submitted in writing.
2.6 In some cases, students may begin their studies on-site or virtually before their result from uni-assist or the APS is available. If the result from uni-assist or the APS is negative after attending classes, meaning that there is no admission to Berlin International College, a refund of tuition fees will be granted on a pro rata temporis basis. This means that a refund for the part of the course that is still in the future and has not yet taken place minus a processing fee of 10% of the total tuition fee is possible. The rejection from uni-assist or the APS must be submitted in writing.
2.7 If BIC is unable to provide a program, a full refund less a 10% processing fee of the total tuition fee will be issued, and the student may be considered for an alternative program if an alternative program is available.

3.2 Students eligible for a refund on the above or on any other grounds must submit a request form (can be obtained from BIC Admission Office) to BIC completed and signed.
