Programas de preparación de BIC: preparación intensiva para estudiar en Alemania

Which BIC Preparation Programs is right for you depends on whether or not you already have an official higher education qualification to study in Germany - Hochschulzugangsberechtigung (HZB) and wether you want to study in German or English. If you already have a HZB, you qualify for the shorter PP program. If you still need to earn a HZB, you need to apply for the full PPS FPS or PPS TestAS program, which includes foundation courses (Studienkolleg) and the university entrance exam - Feststellungsprüfung (FSP) or the scholastic aptitude test TestAS*.

On top of that BIC offers as one of very view institutes foundation courses in English as part of our PPS English program. This is a special cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt.

Regardless of your current language level, whether you already have HZB, whether you will study in German or English, or if you just want to book a spot in the Prep-Course Math+, there is a Preparation Program for you. If you are already fully qualified, you can even apply for direct placement with a BIC Partner University. If you apply for the wrong program, don't worry, a BIC student adviser will let you know and guide you to the right choice.

* For more information on the unique BIC Preparation Program PPS TestAS with TestAS instead of FSP please go to Study Access via TestAS.

Course Elements

Preparation Programs at BIC Berlin International College prepare and qualify students for study in a technical or business-related bachelor's or master's degree at a German university. Included in a BIC Preparation Program are:

1. Language instruction through C1

BIC language courses start at every level and continue through the C1 level, which is what German universities require. Your language level at the time of application determines in which German course you will start in at BIC. The German course prepares for and includes an official DSH, the results of which are recognized by all German universities.

2. German Higher Education Entry Qualification (HZB/FSP/Studienkolleg)

Most international applicants for German bachelor's degrees must first complete a formal entry qualification. BIC separates the language instruction from the rest of the required subjects, and condenses them into an intensive, 6-month term. You can check if this is required for applicants from your secondary school system using the anabin database.

3. Prep-Course Math+

This BIC Preparation Program course element consists of two modules, mathematics and scientific practice. The first module is orientated on a first-semester math course in an engineering degree at a German university. The second module covers fundamental study skills that will help students succeed in a German engineering university environment.

4. Conditional University Placement

Distinctive of BIC Preparation Programs is conditional acceptance at a German university upon successful graduation. Application to BIC is coupled with application to a BIC partner university, and acceptance to BIC comes with a conditional acceptance letter to the partner university. The only condition is successful graduation from BIC.
