Location of the Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences

Two campuses belong to the university, one is located in Hamm and one in Lippstadt. Resulting from the great success and fast growth of the Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences, both locations are currently being expanded. Especially in regards to the study areas, e.g. the lecture halls, a particular emphasis is placed upon the inclusion of the newest technologies.

Distinguishing factors

Since its founding in 2009, the Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences has managed to become a widely recognised teaching and research institution. The high amount of support all students receive and the strong practice orientation of the Bachelor degree programmes contribute to this. Beneficial to the inclusion of practical work into the degree programmes are the modern facilities of the university as well as the many partnerships it has with close-by businesses.

Specialisations of the university

An ideal preparation of every student for a successful career is the aim of every degree programme the Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences offers. To achieve this goal, all study groups are kept small and an emphasis is placed on project work.

Campus life in Hamm

The entire city of Hamm is influenced by the students that live there, wherefore there are many affordable spare time activities on offer. Nearly all of them can be reached quickly. The recreational area along the river Lippe is also nearby. For excursions to locations further away, Hamm’s connection to the German high-speed railway network is advantageous.

Campus culture in Lippstadt

Lippstadt’s close connection to the automobile industry, which is the region’s largest employer, is noticeable in nearly every aspect of life in the city. Students are included herein, as they themselves are also often involved in the industry, e.g. through their project work or an internship at one of the many automobile suppliers.
